Mumbai: A large group of migrant labourers gathered in Bandra, demanding for permission to return to their native states. They later dispersed after police and local leaders intervened and asked them to vacate, ANI reported.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in India spiked to 10,363, with 339 deaths, according to the Union Health Ministry.
31 people have died and 1,211 cases have been reported in the last 24 hours alone.

PM Narendra Modi while declaring the lockdown extension said that states and citizens have collectively suggested extending the lockdown.
PM has extended the lockdown till 3rd May indicating that a strict lockdown will be followed till 20th April.
After 20th April, some restrictions in unaffected areas will be lifted after analysis.
PM says that whatever relaxations granted during the shutdown to some areas will be upon conditions. And even if there is one new case reported in the area, the relaxations will be taken back.
