New Delhi| With the highest single-day spike of 15,968 new COVID-19 positive cases reported in India in last 24 hours, total cases in India stand at 4,56,183 including 1,83,022 active cases, 2,58,685 cured/discharged/migrated patients and 14,476 deaths.
So far, India has tested a total of 73,52,911 RT PCR samples. ICMR has now asked hospitals and public sector units to start doing antibody testing on its employees.
Maharashtra remains the worst affected state with 139010 cases. Among them 62848 are active cases, 69631 have been cured whereas the death toll is at 6531.
The state is followed by Tamil Nadu with 64603 cases and Delhi with 66602 cases. Gujarat remains fourth most affected state with 28371 cases and 1710 deaths.
