India’s Coronavirus Cases Per Million Population At 309, Total cases 4.25 Lakh

India conducted 1,43,267 tests on Sunday.
With this the total number of people tested for Coronavirus has gone up to 69,50,493.

New Delhi| India remains one of the most affected by the Coronavirus pandemic As per the data shared by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India now has 425282 cases of Coronavirus. Out of them, 174387 are active cases whereas 237196 have been cured/discharged or migrated. India has registered 309 cases per million population

The death toll due to Coronavirus in India has reached 13699. India reports 15400 new COVID19 cases and 455 deaths in the last 24 hours. India’s recovery rate however has improved from 55.5% to 55.8%.

Maharashtra remains the worst affected state with 132075 cases. Among them 60161 are active cases, 65744 have been cured whereas the death toll is at 6170. Maharashtra’s recovery rate again dips below 50%. Now at 49.8%. It touched 50% yesterday

The state is followed by Tamil Nadu with 59377 cases and Delhi with 59746 cases. Gujarat remains fourth most affected state with 27260 cases and 1663 deaths.

With this the total number of people tested for Coronavirus has gone up to 69,50,493.
