Indore| Amid the ongoing by-elections in Madhya Pradesh, the politics over Congress leader Kamal Nath’s statement with regard to BJP candidate Imarti Devi has heated up. BJP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Jyotiraditya Scindia has hit back saying that this is the policy of Congress.

Kamal Nath during a rally for Congress candidate Suresh Raje in Dabra had called BJP candidate Imarti Devi “an item”. Commenting on the remark, Jyotiraditya Scindia said that the Congress party can never respect women. Kamal Nath while campaigning ahead of bypolls had said referring to Imarti Devi, “What an item she is.”

Jyotiraditya Scindia appealed to the people to vote for the BJP candidate and teach Congress a lesson. Scindia said, “Kamal Nath says that Imarti Devi is an item. Ajay Singh says that she is Jalebi. On November 3, close your door for such people.”
