Reportedly, all the family members of M Karunanidhi rushed to hospital as he is undergoing treatment.
The security has been increased outside Kauvery Hospital where ailing DMK chief M Karunanidhi has been admitted. Extra barricades have been put up outside as the crowd of supporters swell up near the hospital.
At around 9.15 PM, the Kauvery hospital issued a statement saying that there was a “transient setback in the clinical conditions” of Kalaignar. “With active medical support, his vital signs are normalising,” it added further.
Reportedly, all the family members of M Karunanidhi rushed to hospital as he is undergoing treatment. DMK also released the first picture of the ailing leader from hospital in the afternoon.
Meanwhile, the supporters of the DMK chief have thronged the Chennai city and are praying for his speedy recovery. Party leader A. Raja has asked them not to believe the rumours. He said, “It’s true that there was a setback in Karunanidhi’s health. But doctors have attended to it and treatemnt is provided. Don’t believe in rumours.”
The 94 years old Dravidian leader was admitted to hospital following deteriorating health conditions.
