Kauvery Hospital releases M Karunanidhi health bulletin; condition detoriates

Chennai | According to the latest health bulletin released by the Kauvery hospital in Chennai, the health condition of DMK chief M Karunanidhi has deteriorated further.

According to the reports released by Kauvery Hospital,”There has been a significant decline in the clinical condition of Dr M Karunanidhi over the last few hours.”

Earlier on Monday night, the hospital issued a medical bulletin stating that there has been a decline in the health condition of the former Chief Minister. Dr Aravindan Selvaraj, executive director of Kauvery Hospital, said in a health bulletin at 6:30pm on Monday the 94-year-old former Tamil Nadu chief minister’s response to “medical interventions over the next 24 hours will determine his prognosis”.

“There has been a decline in the medical conditionof Karunanidhi. Maintaining his vital organ functions continues to remain a challenge considering his age-related ailments,” the bulletin said.

Sources at the Kauvery Hospital sources said Karunanidhi’s pulse and blood pressure, which touched critical levels at the time of admission, had witnessed improvement but slipped by Monday noon. They added that there are infections in the chest region and this also poses the complication for the medical team treating him in the intensive care unit.
