Ladakh Face-off: Indian and Chinese Troops Retreat Slightly Near Galwan Valley

The slight retreat comes days ahead of Lieutenant General-level talks between the two countries on June 6 to discuss the Ladakh standoff.

 

New Delhi| In a late-night development on Wednesday, both Indian and Chinese soldiers retreated from their position hinting at a step towards the de-escalation of Ladakh face-off. According to reports, they have retreated slightly. The Chinese army has retreated 2 Kms from the Galwan valley region whereas the Indian army has gone back 1 Km from the location.

The slight retreat comes days ahead of Lieutenant General-level talks between the two countries on June 6. Both the countries will be discussing the Ladakh standoff and the army deployment along LAC. The main point of discussion will be army deployment at Pangong Tso lake.
