Since Yadav has also been sentenced for 14 years in jail in connection to the Dumka treasury embezzlement case, he will not be free despite getting bail in Fodder scam case.
On Friday, the Jharkhand High Court granted bail to former CM of Bihar Lalu Prasad Yadav in connection with the Chaibasa treasury case related to the Rs 950 crore fodder scam, Hindustan Times reported.
The case goes back to 1992-93 when the leader was the chief minister of Bihar. It is concerned with the withdrawal of Rs 33.67 crore from the Chaibasa treasury.
Since Yadav has also been sentenced for 14 years in jail in connection to the Dumka treasury embezzlement case, he will not be free despite getting bail in Fodder scam case.
The former Bihar CM is in Jharkhand’s premier Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) for his treatment as he has been suffering from ‘Type 2’ diabetes and hypertension. Yadav is a chronic kidney patient.
