“Let Me Take Decision Or Else…”: Sidhu’s Warning To Congress

Navjot Singh Sidhu today declared that he “will not spare anyone” if he is not given freedom in decision-making.

Upset by the Congress’ ultimatum in a row over his advisors, Navjot Singh Sidhu today declared that he “will not spare anyone” if he is not given freedom in decision-making.

“I have asked the high command to allow me to take decisions and I will ensure that the Congress prospers in the state for the next two decades. Nahin toh eint se eint bajaa doon, (I will not spare anyone),” Sidhu was quoted as saying by NDTV.

Congress’s Punjab in-charge Harish Rawat, when questioned about Sidhu’s pronouncement, reacted cautiously.

“I can’t question him on the basis of media speculation… I will see the context of the statement. He is party chief, who other than him can take decisions,” Mr Rawat said.

However, hours after Harish Rawat asked Sidhu to remove his two controversial advisors on Wednesday, Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu’s advisor Malwinder Singh Mali resigned on Friday morning.

Malwinder Singh Mali, while quitting as an advisor to Sidhu on Friday, said: “I withdraw my consent given for tendering suggestions to Punjab Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu.”

Earlier, Harish Rawat had asked party leader Navjot Singh Sidhu to remove his advisors Malwinder Singh Mali and Pyare Lal Garg over their continued criticism of CM Amarinder Singh and his aides for the last few weeks.

Malwinder Singh Mali kicked a major row after his Facebook posts on sensitive issues as well as personal attacks on Captain Amarinder Singh and his supporters.
