Locals set Goa MLA’s car on fire after son kills a woman in a road accident

Panaji | Goa BJP MLA Glenn Ticlo’s luxury BMW car on Monday was set on fire by locals at the Goa-Belgium highway after the Mla’s son driving the car meet with an accident and injured a local. The incident took place around 50 km from the inter-state border in Karnataka.

According to local police, the accident took place at around 5.15 pm on Monday on the National Highway near the fruit market, where Aldona MLA Glenn Ticlo car hit the two sisters. An FIR is been registered against Mla’s son Kyle Ticlo under Sections 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) and 279 (rash driving) of the Indian Penal Code.

The eyewitnesses claimed the local mob broke the windshield of the car and set it ablaze after the incident. They further added that the angry mob blocked the highway and protested against Kyle for the incident. Responding to the incident Ticlo said,”We are right now completing police formalities in Belgaum. Kyle (his son) is fine.”
