A Mi-17 helicopter of Indian Air Force collided with iron girder in Kedarnath causing a fire. Reportedly, when the Mi-17 helicopter was about to land in Kedarnath, it collided with the iron girder which left three crew members and the pilot with minor injuries.

There were at least eight members on board the helicopter including four labourers and three crew members. While prima facie the collision is said to be the reason of fire, a court of inquiry will be conducted to ascertain the actual reason. However, no major casualty was reported and the injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital.
