Mukesh Ambani releases Jio GigaFiber, will be available from Sept 5

Mumbai | Business Tycoon Mukesh Ambani once again has shocked everyone by his low-cost quality plans and attractive freebies in Jio.

At RIL’s Annual General Meeting (AGM), Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani revealed the company’s long-awaited GigaFiber broadband plans will be commercially available to users from September 5.

Reliance Jio on Monday launched a “Jio Fiber Welcome Offer” under which it will offer a free HD or 4K LED TV and a 4K set-top-box to customers availing its annual Fiber data plans.

The JioFiber services will be available at a starting price of Rs 700 per month. The base plan will start from 100 Mbps. The speed will go up as and more you pay, upto Rs 10,000. These plans are for home as well as businesses. Users will receive up to 1Gbps of data speeds.

Reliance also launched Jio PostPaid Plus, special mobility service for Jio Fiber users. The users of this service will get a special SIM setup at the comfort of their own homes. They will get seamless data, including family plans and option to control their data usage as well. PostPaid Plus subscribers will also get low-cost calling packs for international roaming.

Reliance said Fiber subscribers will also get a lifetime free calling from home to any Indian mobile operator. Jio also launched an unlimited international calling pack at ‘Rs 500 per month’ for the US and Canada.

They have also partnered with a number of OTT apps and has promised to get selected movies on the day of its launch in theatres. Called ‘Jio First-day-first-show’, the facility will be available starting mid-2020.

The complete details of Reliance Jio Fiber service will be available from September 5 via Jio.com and MyJio application.
