NIA conducts raids at multiple locations in UP, Delhi in connection to an ISIS module

New Delhi | The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is conducting multiple searches at the various location in Uttar Pradesh and Delhi in connection to a new module of the terror group ISIS.

NIA is conducting searches at 16 locations across Delhi, Amroha, Ghaziabad, Lucknow and Delhi searching inputs of a group named “Harkat ul Harb e Islam” linked to the Islamic State.

According to sources, 10 suspects are taken in custody of NIA, the prime suspects include a Moulavi from Amroha and a 3rd-year civil engineering student. The sources further added that during the raid Ammonium nitrate and other IED making explosives were recovered by the NIA.

Speaking the operation, the Uttar Pradesh ATS said that 5 people have been arrested in a joint operation with the NIA from Uttar Pradesh’s Amroha. The officials further added that the searches which began early morning on Wednesday are still underway,
