NIA Reaches Jammu Air Force Station To Investigate Twin Drone Blast

Jammu and Kashmir DGP Dilbag Singh termed the incident as a terrorist attack. Along with the police and the IAF, other agencies are also probing the matter.

 

Two Air Force personnel have suffered minor injuries due to the explosion near the technical area of ​​Jammu Air Force Station. There were two blasts at an interval of 5 minutes. The first blast took place on the roof of the campus building and the second below. Two drones were used to for the attack. The attackers have not been located, but it is feared that they targeted aircraft parked in the blast area.

Jammu and Kashmir DGP Dilbag Singh termed the incident as a terrorist attack. He said that along with the police and the IAF, other agencies are also probing the matter. This is the first time that a drone has been used in a terrorist attack.

It is being claimed in some media reports that so far only fragments of explosives have been found from the spot. The remains of the drone have not been found. It is believed that the explosives may have been dropped from the drone. They were not used as IEDs.

Air Force Chief spoke to the injured soldiers on the phone

Indian Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria has spoken to both the Air Force personnel injured in the attack over the phone. Bhadauria is currently in Bangladesh. According to officials, both the jawans are under the supervision of doctors and are doing fine.
