New Delhi| Reliance Foundation chairperson Nita Ambani (57) has been inducted into the board of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. She has become the first Indian Honorary trustee of the museum. The chairman of the museum, Daniel Brodsky, gave this information on Tuesday. Nita Ambani has been supporting the Metropolitan Museum exhibitions for the last several years. It is the largest art museum in America.

In 2017, Nita Ambani said that through the Metropolitan Museum, Indian art got a chance to exhibit in a prestigious institution and we were encouraged to continue working in the field of art. She is promoting Indian art and culture worldwide through Reliance Foundation. She is also promoting sports and development schemes in the country.

The Metropolitan Museum is 149 years old. There are 5000-year-old artefacts from all over the world. Every year, millions of people visit the museum. They also include many billionaires and celebrities. The chairman of the museum, Daniel Brodsky, said on Tuesday that with the help of Nita Ambani, the capabilities of the museum to study and showcase the art were greatly enhanced.
