On Tuesday, onions were thrown at Nitish Kumar when he was campaigning today in Bihar’s Madhubani for the state election. The CM’s security personnel surrounded him forming a shield as the leader continued his speech.
At a rally in Harlakhi in Madhubani, Nitish Kumar was talking about providing jobs when onions came flying at him but did not hit the JDU leader.
“Khub feko, khub feko, khube feko (keep throwing),” said the anguished Chief Minister, who has been seeking re-election as chief minister of the state.
“Let him go, don’t pay any attention to him,” said Nitish Kumar, when the attacker was apparently caught by security personnel.
Resuming his speech, Nitish Kumar targetted Tejashwi Yadav over his jobs promise. “How can (Tejashwi Yadav) promise 10 lakh government jobs when Lalu Yadav could not provide jobs to people in 15 years of RJD rule? In 15 years, they only gave 95,000 jobs compared to six lakh government jobs given in our rule,” said Nitish Kumar.
The second phase of voting was conducted in Bihar today. igh profile constituencies like Patna, Vaishali, Sitamarhi, Darbhanga and Madhubani spread over 17 districts will go to polls in this phase today. The political future of 1,463 candidates will be decided by over 2.85 crore voters. 1,316 men, 146 women and one transgender candidate are there in the fray.
