Operative of Lashkar among 5 shot terrorists in Kiloora village of Shopian

5 terrorists have been shot dead in an encounter with the security forces in Kiloora village of Shopian district of state of Jammu and Kashmir, which is 55 kms away from Srinagar. The encounter happened began on the night of Friday.

While 4 terrorists were shot today morning, the body of another terrorist was recovered from the Kiloora village of Shopian. The person has been identified as Umar Malik, who is an operative of Lashkar-e-Taiba and had an AK-47 rifle with him.

The bodies of the four who were shot dead have also been recovered and a civilian was killed amid stone-throwing by the locals.

The security forces had cordoned off the village of Kiloora yesterday night after getting inputs from the intelligence about the presence of the terrorists there. The moment they started off a search operation, the terrorists opened fire at them which led to an encounter said the police. The operation has been drawn to a close stated the police.
