Petrol and diesel price on a decline

New Delhi: In a huge relief, petrol and diesel prices saw further decline today as many states have announced VAT cuts. Earlier, the price of diesel had reached above Rs 100 in many states. The rising petrol and diesel prices in the country were affecting the income of the common man.

Today, there has been no change in the prices of petrol and diesel from the government oil companies. Yesterday, there was a big relief from the oil companies, on Friday, the price of diesel was reduced from Rs 11 to Rs 13, while the price of petrol was reduced from Rs 7 to Rs 8. Today, consumers have got a lot of relief due to no change in the prices of petrol and diesel.

In Delhi, petrol costs Rs 103.97 while diesel costs Rs 86.67 per litre. The price of petrol in Mumbai is Rs 109.98 and the price of diesel is Rs 94.14 per litre. Petrol in Kolkata costs Rs 104.67 while diesel costs Rs 89.79 per litre. At the same time, in Chennai, petrol is Rs 101.40 a liter and diesel is Rs 91.43 a liter.

Petrol and diesel prices change every day at 6 am. The new rates are applicable from 6 am onwards. After adding excise duty, dealer commission and other things to the price of petrol and diesel, its price almost doubles.
