PM Modi To Transfer ₹18000 Crore PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Instalment To Farmers Today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will transfer an installment of 18 thousand crores to the account of 9 crore farmers of the country.

 

New Delhi| On one hand, there is a farmers’ agitation against agricultural laws going on, on the other hand, the central government will release the installment of Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM Kisan) today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will transfer an installment of 18 thousand crores to the account of 9 crore farmers of the country. Two thousand rupees will go to the account of every farmer. During this time, the Prime Minister will also talk through video conferencing with farmers from 6 states. This program will be shown to more than 2 crore farmers across the country.

Why choose today?

Today is the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Programs will be organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) across the country. These programs will include Union Ministers, Chief Ministers of BJP ruled states, Ministers, MPs, MLAs. Chaupal will be installed for the farmers and they will be shown the video conferencing address of the Prime Minister. During this time, BJP workers will go door-to-door to distribute the letter written by the Agriculture Minister about the agricultural laws.

Every year 6 thousand rupees are given to farmers

Under the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi, farmers of the country are given 6 thousand rupees in 3 installments every year from the central government. So far, 10 crore 96 lakh farmers have got the benefit of this scheme. Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar gave this information in the press conference. He said that PM Modi will also tell farmers the merits of the new agricultural law. As of December 22, 2 crore farmers across the country have registered for this program.

30th day of the farmers’ movement today

Today is the 30th day of the farmers’ movement on the Delhi border against the agricultural law. On Thursday, the government wrote another letter and appealed to farmers to fix a day and time for talks. It is written in the letter that the government is serious about resolving the issues of farmers.

 

At the same time, the government also made it clear that any new demand related to minimum support prize which is outside the purview of new agricultural laws, it would not be rational to include it in the negotiations. On Wednesday itself, the farmers had rejected the previous invitation of the government. He said that the proposal of the government does not have any merit, it will be only if we bring a new agenda.
