Boeing India president Pratyush Kumar to lead F-15 fighter aircraft programme in US

New Delhi | World largest Aerospace company, Boeing on Monday announced that its India president Pratyush Kumar will lead its F-15 fighter aircraft programme in the United States.

In an issued statement, Boeing announced, “Kumar has been selected to lead our iconic F-15 fighter aircraft programme in the US and globally.” Informing about its upcoming projects in India Boeing further added, “We launched our engineering and technology centre in Bengaluru during his tenure to drive innovation, scaled up the aerospace supply chain and have set up a joint venture with Tata to make fuselages for the Apache attack helicopter.”

Pratyush Kumar is known for developing the company’s business in commercial airplanes, defence, space and security and global services during his five year tenure in India. Kumar earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT-D) and a doctorate in materials engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He is also a member of the executive council of the Aviation Cooperation Program (ACP) between India and the United States. Pratyush Kumar also serves on the board of Aerospace and Aviation Sector Skills Council and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Defense Committee.
