Rajasthan Crisis: Supreme Court To Hear Speaker CP Joshi’s Petition Against HC Order Giving Relief To Pilot

The Pilot camp has filed a caveat in the Supreme Court saying no decision should be given on the petition of Speaker CP Joshi without hearing them out.

Jaipur |The political battle of Rajasthan has now reached the Supreme Court. Assembly Speaker CP Joshi’s petition against the High Court order will be heard today. In this order, he has been asked not to take any action against the rebel MLAs till July 24. A bench of three judges, including Justice Arun Mishra, will hear this in the Supreme Court.

Kapil Sibal can present arguments on behalf of Speaker Joshi. Joshi had said in a press conference on Wednesday that the Constitution and the Supreme Court had fixed the responsibilities. “As a speaker, I gave a show cause notice to 19 Congress MLAs. If the authority does not issue a show cause notice, what will be its work?” he asked.

In fact, the High Court had heard the disqualification notice issued to these MLAs on Tuesday for the second consecutive day. After the debate was over, the decision was reserved till July 24. Till then the speaker was ordered not to take action against these MLAs. The speaker has filed a petition in the Supreme Court against this.

Caveat filed by Sachin Pilot group

The Pilot camp has also filed a caveat in the Supreme Court. It said that no decision should be given on the petition of Speaker CP Joshi without knowing the stand of Pilot and his MLAs. S. Hariharan has filed the caveat on behalf of the Pilot faction. At the same time, Mukul Rohatgi will advocate for Sachin Pilot.
