Jaipur| The divisional bench of the Rajasthan High Court will hear the petition of 19 Congress MLAs, including Sachin Pilot, on Friday. In this, the notice of the assembly speaker for disqualification has been challenged by the MLAs. The matter will be heard at around 1 pm. At the same time, MLAs have time till 1 pm to present their reply in the assembly. Legislators may be disqualified by the speaker for not responding.

The Sachin Pilot faction has to present the reply in the Assembly by 1 pm on Friday. The assembly speaker sent a notice to him and the supporting legislators.

At around 12 am on Thursday morning, 19 MLAs including Sachin Pilot filed a petition in the Rajasthan High Court against the notice of the Assembly. The first hearing started at 3 o’clock in the day. The hearing was deferred within 15 minutes due to lack of copy of the amendment.
After this, at around 4.15 pm, a revised petition was again filed by the lawyers of the Pilot faction.
The revised petition was heard at 5 pm. After this, the case was transferred to the Divisional Bench.

The hearing was conducted at 7.30 pm by the divisional bench. Now, the time of hearing has been fixed at 1 pm on Friday.

Harish Salve is representing the Pilot group

Harish Salve is representing on behalf of the Pilot faction. Sachin Pilot’s lawyer Mukul Rohatgi will also join online. At the same time, Abhishek Manu Singhvi is included on behalf of Rajasthan speaker.

These legislators were given notice

Sachin Pilot, Ramesh Meena, Indraj Gurjar, Gajraj Khatana, Rakesh Pareek, Murari Meena, PR Meena, Suresh Modi, Bhanwar Lal Sharma, Vedprakash Solanki, Mukesh Bhakar, Ramnivas Gavadia, Harish Meena, Brijendra Ola, Hemaram Chaudhary, Vishvendra Singh, Amar Singh, Dipendra Singh and Gajendra Shaktawat.

Caveat was also filed by Rajasthan government

A caveat has been filed against the petition by the Speaker of the Assembly and the Government of Rajasthan.

Chief whip Mahesh Joshi said, “The Petition was mine, and I was not made the party. This shows that they do not have a solid base. In the petition they are saying that some amendment has to be done. The first thing is the petition from a big lawyer like Harish Salve. That too is not complete, which proves that without any preparation, they have filed it in a hurry.

“Vasundhara Helping Gehlot”

However the Rajasthan Political Crisis has taken an interesting turn with BJP ally MP Hanuman Beniwal accusing Vasundhara Raje of supporting Gehlot by calling legislators of the Congress party. Beniwal’s RLP is in alliance with BJP and has 2 seats. He tweeted, “Vasundhara Raje has phoned MLAs close to her in Rajasthan Congress to support Gehlot. Vasundhara herself has asked the Jat MLAs of Sikar and Nagaur districts to distance themselves from Pilot. We have strong evidence for this.” Vasundhara Raje was supposed to come to Jaipur for a party meeting on Wednesday, but she did not arrive. Due to this factionalism is also seen in BJP.

Viral Audio Clips

Meanwhile, three audio conversations involving the horse-trading of MLAs went viral late Thursday. In these audio tapes one person is describing himself as Sanjay Jain and the other is Gajendra Singh Shekhawat (allegedly of BJP) . The two audio tapes are in Rajasthani. Whereas, the third one is in Hindi and English. In one of the audio tapes, Sanjay Jain allegedly confirms that first installment of payment has reached its leaders sitting in Delhi. However, HW News Network couldn’t independently verify the authenticity of the audio clip.
