Ram Temple Bhoomi Pujan: PM Modi Leaves For Ayodhya, To Visit Hanuman Garhi Temple First

PM Modi will first visit Hanuman Garhi temple and then proceed to attend the Bhoomi Pujan at Ram Janmabhoomi premises.

 

New Delhi| The ground breaking ceremony of Ayodhya Ram Temple will be held today amidst subdued fanfare. Though the event is not as grand as it would have been due to Coronavirus fears, locals and administration has left no stone unturned to make the occasion look like Diwali festivities. Hundreds of diyas were lit at the ghat of river Ganga yesterday night.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also attend the function today. Modi will first go to Hanuman Garhi. The entire temple was sanitized in view of Coronavirus threat. Security around the temple has also been increased.

The chief priest of Hanuman Garhi, Premdas Ji Maharaj said that it is a proud moment. “We will honor Prime Minister Modi by presenting him a turban and Ramnami patka. He will also be given a silver coin,” he said.

Baba Ramdev, who reached Ayodhya, said that today is a historic day. He said, “It will be remembered for a long time. I was very confident about the construction of the Ram temple. Ramrajya will be established in the country.”

A platform has been set up for Bhoomi Pujan in the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi trust premises. Only five people will be present on the dias, Prime Minister Modi, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Maharam Nritya Gopal Das, President of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust.

Apart from these, Babri Masjid’s parties Iqbal Ansari, social worker and Padmashree Mohammad Sharif, sister of Kothari brothers, Purnima Kothari will attend the Bhoomi Pujan.
Because of Coronavirus scare, only 175 people have been invited to the Bhoomi Poojan ceremony. These include 135 saints from a total of 36 spiritual traditions of the country. The family members of the rest of the kar sevaks are included in the remaining list of invitees. Every guest who attends Bhoomi Pujan will be given a silver coin of Shri Ram Darbar by the temple trust.

PM Modi’s Ayodhya Itinerary

09:35 pm: The Prime Minister will leave from Delhi.
10:35 pm: Modi will reach Lucknow.
11:30 pm: Prime Minister Modi will reach Ayodhya by helicopter.
11:40 pm: Modi and Yogi will go to Hanumanji Garhi, then visit Ram Janmabhoomi campus.
12:00 pm: Modi will reach Ram Janmabhoomi campus.
12:15 pm: Prime Minister to plant Parijat.
12:30 pm: Worship program will begin. During this, there will be Shila Puja, Bhoomi Puja and Kurma Shila Puja.
12:44 to 12:45 pm: The main puja will take place at 32 second of Abhijeet Muhurta. It is believed that Lord Rama was born in this Muhurta. Modi will lay 40 kg of silver brick as the foundation during this period.
2:20 pm: Modi will leave from Ayodhya to Lucknow.
