Sambit Patra attacks Congress on Rafale scam

Mumbai: After the new revelations of the French magazine on the Rafale deal, the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) has made a big attack on the Congress. BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra said during a press conference that today all the truth has come out, which happened from 2007 to 2012.

He said that today we are going to place some important documents in front of you, which will tell who was involved in corruption. A French media organization some time ago revealed that there was corruption in Rafale.

Addressing the media, the BJP leader said, “We all saw the way the opposition parties, especially the Congress party, tried to create a false atmosphere regarding Rafale before the 2019 elections. They felt that this would give them some political advantage”.

Targeting the Congress, Patra said that the subject of Rafale was the story of the commission, a conspiracy of a huge scam. This whole matter happened between 2007 and 2012. During this, while also targeting Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, he said, “Rahul Gandhiji, answer – why did you and your party try to spread confusion about Rafale for so many years? Today it has been revealed that the party under his government has done this commission in Rafale between 2007 and 2012, in which the name of the middleman has also come out.”

On the other hand, Rahul Gandhi also said on this revelation of the French magazine that when the truth is with every step, then what is there to worry about? My Congress colleagues – keep fighting like this against the corrupt central government. Don’t wait, don’t get tired, don’t be afraid!

French online magazine Mediapart claimed on Sunday that Dassault Aviation paid at least Rs 65 crore to Indian middleman Sushen Gupta for the deal. So that the company can get a deal for 36 Rafale fighter jets with India. The CBI was also aware of this, and also the ED, but these agencies did not take any action on this matter.
