Sushma Swaraj to visit Vietnam, Cambodia on August 27

New Delhi | The External Affairs Ministry today announced that Union Minister Sushma Swaraj will be visiting the South Asian countries of Vietnam and Cambodia from 27-30 August 2018.

According to the statement released by the External Affairs Ministry, on the first day of the visit (27 August), Sushma Swaraj will inaugurate the 3rd edition of the Indian Ocean Conference. Swaraj will co-chair the 16th meeting of the Joint Commission along with the Vietnamese counterpart, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, H.E. Mr. Pham Binh Minh. Next, on her first visit to Cambodia from 29 to 30 August, Swaraj will have a bilateral meeting with H.E. Mr. Prak Sokhonn, Senior Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia and call on Prime Minister H.E. Mr. Hun Sen and President of Senate H.E. Mr. Say Chhum.

Swaraj’s visit to Vietnam and Cambodia is seen as an opportunity to hold in-depth discussions with the political leadership on a wide range of global, regional and bilateral issues and advance our strategic engagement with these countries and ASEAN region.
