2 Terrorists invloved in Pulwama attack neutralized by Security forces

Srinagar | The security forces today in an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district neutralized two terrorists who were responsible for the February 14 Pulwama attack on the CRPF convoy in Pulwama.

The security forces neutralized Jasih-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorist Sajjad Maqbool Bhat and Tauseef in the encounter which broke out on Tuesday morning. Bhat was the person who Maruti Echo was used during the Suicide bomb attack on the CRPF convoy in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama.

Speaking on the encounter, Police officials said, ” Two terrorists were killed in a gunbattle in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir Tuesday in which a jawan has also lost his life.”

Based on inputs about the presence of militants in Bijbehara area of the south Kashmir district, the security forces launched a cordon and search operation there in the morning, a police official said.

40 CRPF personnel were killed in a suicide bomb attack on the convoy on 14 February 2019.
