Testing At Slow – Pace In Poll Bound States

Election Commission may have forgotten that reprimand. Only then the permission for rallies is being received without any restrictions.

New Delhi: World Health Organization warns against the new variant of the COVID, Omicron. The death toll might rise. First Omicron Death has been reported from Britain, this is a red alert for the world. But in the election environment in India, the pace of testing has slowed down. Most of the states have not updated their count on the dashboard. This thing is serious because these data are used in genome sequencing. Genome sequencing is the only means by which the nature of the virus is found out, how dangerous it is.

The crowd in rallies is gathering in huge numbers. The numbers are in lakhs. One remembers the reprimand of the Madras High Court Election Commission in April this year. In April 2021, the High Court held the Election Commission responsible for the second wave of Corona. Chief Justice of Madras High Court S. During the hearing, Banerjee had said that the Election Commission is responsible for the second wave of Corona.

The court had even said that even if a murder charge is imposed on the officials of the Election Commission, it will not be wrong. However, the Election Commission may have forgotten that reprimand. Only then the permission for rallies is being received without any restrictions.

Data missing for UP, Goa, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh

If we check the figures on the official dashboard, there are at least 4 states in which the data of testing after October 30 has not been recorded. It also includes the largest state UP. Elections are to be held here next year, so the emphasis is on rallies. Recently, during the inauguration of the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, thousands of people gathered to listen to the PM. On the other hand, in Goa, Mamata Banerjee of Trinamool Congress is engaged in holding rallies and public meetings one after the other. Testing figures in the dashboard are also seen hereafter 30 October, only zero. The same is the case with Madhya Pradesh.

The condition of Punjab is also no different from these states. Here also after 1st of November, only the figures of 10th November and then 15th November are recorded in the dashboard. The remaining figures are missing. The data is recorded in the dashboard of Uttarakhand after November 5, on November 14, December 2, December 3, and December 7, 11-12-13. That is, the health department does not seem too keen on recording the figures here too.

Talking to Amit Mohan Prasad, Additional Chief Secretary, Health, Uttar Pradesh, he just said – Testing is going on. Another team does the work of recording the data. When I tried to talk to the health secretaries of other states, they did not take the missing data on the dashboard seriously.

Testing figure hinges on one-fourth of PM’s fixed target

PM Modi had set a target of 40-45 lakh daily tests per day in May 2021, but the ground reality of the figures looks very bad compared to this fixed target. If we look at the graph of the data between September 15 and December 15, is uneven. Not only this, but it also looks far from the target set. On September 15, the testing figure had reached more than 16 lakhs. On December 15, this figure reached 11 lakh 84 thousand. Meanwhile, on October 6, this figure was 18 lakh 53 thousand, whereas after this the average testing figure was around 10-12 lakh.

Protocol breaking in rallies and public meetings

Crowds gathering in rallies and public meetings and breaking protocol are now clearly visible in the pictures. Masks and two yards are missing from VIP to common man. When Samajwadi Party spokesperson Dr. Ashutosh Verma was asked about the rally in western UP and the plan ahead, he said- ‘The example that the PM and the ruling party set, others will follow it.’

After all, why did the state governments not give instructions to the administration to follow the protocol? How is the administration permitting rallies and public meetings? Samajwadi Dal has also been in power in UP. So don’t you have any responsibility?

It is. But, whose administration is the granting authority? In UP, Congress President Ajay Singh Lallu is also seen similarly questioning the ruling BJP party. In response to the question of his accountability, he questions the attitude of the Yogi government of the state.

When BJP’s national spokesperson Bharti Ghosh was asked about the election rallies, she said – 1.38 billion vaccines have been administered so far. It was possible because of Modi Ji. India was also able to deal with the criticisms like Corona because of PM Modi. When asked that the decision to symbolize an event like Kumbh last year was taken by the PM. Is there any plan to rein in the election rallies this time?

The answer we received for this is, ‘To stop the fierce explosion of Corona, the PM decided to symbolize the Kumbh. The nation is grateful to the PM for saving countless lives. As long as Modi is our PM, the entire opposition can sleep peacefully.

However, the answer was not received whether the BJP would give any message to other parties regarding the election rallies.

Rapid rallies plan by the end of December

According to BJP sources, 6 big rallies are to be organized in Uttar Pradesh. It includes Varanasi, Bundelkhand, and Lucknow. Congress is also not behind. In Uttar Pradesh, preparations are being made to organize 3-4 big rallies under the leadership of Priyanka Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. Samajwadi Party has started rallies from western UP. Overall, the electoral atmosphere in UP has started building up. The crowd is starting to gather.

Terrible memories of West Bengal are floating in my mind

The result of the fast-paced rallies in West Bengal was that at the time of the announcement of the date of the election in the country, that is, on February 2, there were 11,039 cases of the corona. Whereas, after the result, on May 6, this figure reached 4 lakh, 14 thousand. Talking about the state, on February 2, there were 200 cases of the corona. By the time the last phase of polling approached, this figure increased by 900 percent.

These figures are not imaginary but from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. In the first phase, i.e. 25 March this figure was 516, in the second phase of elections this figure increased to 982, in the third phase, i.e. 6 April 2058, in the fourth phase 4043, in the fifth phase 4817, in the sixth phase 8426, in the seventh phase 12876 And the eighth phase, the figure had crossed 17,000.

There were fast rallies in West Bengal during the elections

About 6 months ago when the country was battling the threat of the second wave of Corona. At that time fast election rallies were going on in West Bengal. Rallies and roadshows thronging thousands were held during the election campaign.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi held 18 rallies in West Bengal. Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President JP Nadda had 30 rallies, former Congress President Rahul Gandhi 2, and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee about 100 rallies. In these, both ‘Do Gaz Ki Distance’ and the mask were missing. Alam was that there was an explosion of Corona.
