Third Case of Coronvirus In Dharavi Invokes Fear of Community Transmission

A 35-year-old doctor in Dharavi has been found corona positive. The family members of the doctor have also been quarantined after the case is confirmed.

 

Mumbai| The risk of spread of coronavirus in the slums of Mumbai is increasing. A person has died due to Coronavirus in Asia’s largest slum, Dharavi. Meanwhile, another positive case of the coronavirus has come to light in Dharavi. The rising cases of corona in a densely populated area have added to the worries of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).

A 35-year-old doctor’s sample in Dharavi has been found corona positive. The family members of the doctor have also been quarantined after the case is confirmed. Family members will be investigated today. Meanwhile, the BMC administration has engaged in contact tracing of people who came in contact with the doctor. The building where the corona victim was staying has been sealed by the BMC.
