Anupam Kher wrote in a tweet today, “Mistakes are committed by those who work, those who do no work spend their life pointing finger at others.”
Mumbai| Two days after his criticism of the Modi govt over its handling of the pandemic, Anupam Kher has made a cryptic tweet. The Bollywood actor in his latest tweet has said that those who work, commit mistakes. The tweet by Anupam Kher, known for praising the Modi government, is seen as an attempt to damage control, especially since his earlier comments are going viral on social media.
Actor Anupam Kher, who often praised the policies of the Modi government, had criticized the Modi government on Wednesday and said that the government should be held responsible for what is happening in the country in view of the second wave of Coronavirus. Anupam Kher wrote in a tweet today, “Mistakes are committed by those who work, those who do no work spend their life pointing finger at others.”
गलती उन्हीं से होती है
जो काम करते हैं,
निकम्मों की ज़िंदगी तो
दूसरों की बुराई खोजने में ही
ख़त्म हो जाती है..:)— Anupam Kher (@AnupamPKher) May 14, 2021
His latest tweet is being seen as a clarification for his earlier criticism of the Modi govt.
What Did Anupam Kher Say?
In what appeared to be a critique of the Centre, in an interview with news channel NDTV, Anupam Kher said: “Somewhere they have slipped … it is time for them to understand that there is much more to life than just image-building maybe.”
The renowned actor was asked should the government’s efforts have been more about providing relief than managing their image and perception. He was questioned about how distressing did he find images of Covid-hit families begging for hospital beds, corpses floating in the river and struggling patients?
“I think the criticism is valid in lots of cases and I think it is important for the government to rise to the occasion and do things that they are chosen by the people of this country for. I think only an inhuman person will not get affected by… bodies floating. But for another political party to use it for their gain is also not right,” said the national award-winning actor.
“We should as people… Get angry…It is important to hold the government responsible for what has happened.”
Mr Kher’s remarks also hold importance since his wife, actor Kirron Kher, is a BJP MP.
