Chennai | Around 60 people were injured and 2 others were killed during a stampede which held in the premises of Rajaji Hall were the dead body of former Chief Minister M Karunanidhi is kept for his followers to pay homage.
According to an eyewitness, the stampede occurred at around 11.15 am when the police allowed the visitor to enter the premises of Rajaji Hall. The reason stated behind the stampede is there was a sudden rush, and many people fell down. The injured were rushed to Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital where two of the injureds which include a man and woman died. The women is identified as Shenbagam aged 60 from MGR Nagar.
