VIDEO: UP School mixes bucket full of water to 1-litre milk to make Mid-Day Meal for 81

However, even a day after the video surfaced, no concrete action was taken and the milk mixed with water was distributed to the school kids again.

Sonbhadra| In an incident strikingly similar to the one in Mirzapur Primary School, irregularities have been reported in the Mid-Day meal scheme run in Sonbhadra school. A bucket of water is being added to one litre of milk and is being distributed to 80 children. A video of Mid-Day meal workers mixing water in the milk has surfaced on the internet. It can be seen that the school children are surrounding the woman while she distributes the milk to them. The video has caused a stir in the education department.

However, even a day after the video surfaced, no concrete action was taken and the milk mixed with water was distributed to the school kids again. On Thursday, ABSA reached the primary school Salaiwanwa and removed the accused Shikshamitra.

The cook who takes care of the kitchen said that he was provided with only one litre of milk and he mixed it with a bucket of water and gave it to the children. On the other hand, the ABSA team which arrived to investigate the case said that prima facie, the mistake seems to be of the Shikshamitra and he has been fired.

The dismal condition of the Mid-Day Meal Scheme in UP was exposed when it was found that a Mirzapur School is feeding the students Salt and Roti. However, in an attempt to shoot the messenger, the UP police registered a case under IPC sections 186,193,120B and 420 of IPC for conspiring, making false evidence and making videos viral and tarnishing the image against the local journalist who disclosed the case.
