Ghaziabad| In a chilling incident, a Ghaziabad journalist Vikram Joshi was shot in the head in front of his daughter. The incident occurred on Monday night. After three days of battle with life and death, he died on Wednesday.

Joshi had complained to the police about the accused who were molesting his niece. The family alleges that the miscreants attacked Joshi to avenge this. Joshi’s family says the police did not take timely action in this 0 way, the miscreants stopped his bike, beat him and shot him in the head.
So far 9 accused have been arrested in this case. Raghavendra Singh, in-charge of Pratap Vihar outpost, has been suspended on charges of negligence.

Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Tuesday targeted the Uttar Pradesh government. She tweeted- “Ghaziabad is in NCR. This is the law and order situation here, so you have to guess the condition of the entire UP. A journalist was shot because he had complained about his niece’s molestation . How will any common man feel safe in this jungle raj?”
