Watch: IAF rescues two stranded men from Jammu’s Tawi river in a breathtaking scenario

A video of the entire rescue operation video has come out. The IAF helicopter can be seen engaged in a rescue operation to bring the stranded to safety.

 

Jammu| Several parts of North India are reeling under heavy rains. Many key rivers in the region are overflowing. In one such incident, IAF airlifted two men from Tawi river in Jammu. The men were stranded in the middle of the river due to the sudden rise in the water level.

A video of the entire rescue operation video has come out. The IAF helicopter can be seen engaged in a rescue operation to bring the stranded to safety.

Reportedly, on Monday the flow of the river intensified due to which 2 people got stuck on the bridge under construction. Both the people were rescued by the Air Force by helicopter.

According to initial information, when the Air Force arrived to rescue, the rope broke during the operation. But the rescue officials managed to contain the situation. They not only rescued the stranded people but also brought them to land safely. There was no casualty or any injury during the rescue operation.

Heavy rains and floods have caused havoc in many parts of the country. So far in Kerala, the death toll due to floods has reached 121. In Himachal Pradesh too, the death toll due to floods has increased to 22 and two people are reportedly missing in Shimla.
