WATCH: JNU students beaten up and detained by Delhi Police, while heading towards Rashtrapati Bhawan

A scuffle broke out with Delhi Police and JNU students, then police lathi-charged and detained students

 

NEW DELHI| On Thursday, Jawaharlal Nehru University Students’ Union (JNUSU) president Aishe Ghosh gave a call to protesters to head towards the Rashtrapati Bhawan. After the meeting between the JNUSU president along with other members and the HRD ministry concluded, which Ghosh termed as “unsatisfactory”. While heading towards Rashtrapati Bhawan police stopped student to proceed further. After which a scuffle broke out with Delhi Police and student. The police then lathi-charged and detained students.
