Ghaziabad District has nearly 70 active COVID-19 cases.
According to the reports, the district administration had asked the migrants to come to the Ramlila Ground so that formalities like screening and registration could be done before sending them to their respective native places.
After the Auraiya accident that claimed lives of at least 26 migrant labourers on Saturday early morning, the UP government had directed all the district magistrates to seal the borders to restrain the movement of migrants without proper arrangements.
