New Delhi| Amidst concerns mounting over the situation in Kashmir, a video has come to light. In this video, NSA Ajit Doval is seen interacting with local Kashmiris and even sharing food with them. The video comes a day after Lok Sabha passed the bills to abrogate Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir.
Reportedly, National Security Advisor was on his visit to Kashmir to take stock of the security situation. A few weeks ago centre had moved 10,000 troops of paramilitary to J&K. A week later, it moved more 28,000 troops of CAPF. On Monday, the government imposed Section 144 in Srinagar. There is a curfew in several parts of Kashmir and communication mediums have been blocked. Mobile internet, telephone lines are also blocked. Most of the mainstream political leaders including Mehbooba Mufti, Omar Abdullah have been put under house arrest.

Several people and opposition questioned the government’s motive over the lockdown of Kashmir. There were concerns that protest may erupt in Kashmir against the govt’s decision.

The shops visible in the video are closed due to curfew. But a bunch of locals is seen having Biryani together. One local is seen serving the biryani to others while NSA Ajit Doval is having lunch with them.
Parliament on Tuesday approved a resolution abrogating special status to Jammu and Kashmir under Article 370 of the Constitution and a bill for splitting the state into two Union Territories.
The resolution was passed by Lok Sabha with 351 members voting in its support and 72 against it, while one member abstained. The bill to create two UTs — Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh — was passed in the House by 370 votes in favour and 70 against. The resolution and the bill were approved by Rajya Sabha on Monday.
