Earlier on Monday, a three-judge panel in the Supreme Court has dismissed the sexual harassment charges filed by a former court employee against CJI Ranjan Gogoi. A statement released by the Secretary-General reads that the report will be sent to the next senior judge after CJI Gogoi. “The in-house inquiry committee headed by Justice S A Bobde has found no substance in the allegations of sexual harassment made by ex-employee of the Supreme Court against the CJI”, the statement also read.
The statement also announces that the report will not be made public. Earlier this month, CJI Ranjan Gogoi was charged with sexual harassment of a former court employee.
