Yogi Adityanath visits Gorakhpur fifth time in 2 months after bypoll defeat

Gorakhpur: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Aditynath visited Gorakhpur on Sunday to start his dream project of a ‘water sports complex’ in Gorakhpur. This was Aditynath’s fifth visit in last two months, in an attempt to ensure that the BJP wins back the Gorakhpur parliamentary seat in the 2019 general election.

” Gorakhpur was always neglected under earlier governments and that the area used to thirst for electricity, water, and roads. But BJP has brought an AIIMS and a fertilizer plant here,” Adityanath told the media.

CM Yogi will lay the foundation stone of a college and a stadium in the name of his spiritual guru, Mahant Avaidyanath, and also visit the home of a local BJP MLA on Monday.

After BJP received a setback in Gorakhpur and Phulpur bye-elections, CM Yogi has spent 10 days since March 25 in Gorakhpur. He launched a number of projects along with the advancement of deadlines of key ongoing projects such as the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Gorakhpur, meetings with locals and brainstorming sessions with BJP MLAs on the political strategy for the Gorakhpur region.
