Vizag | YSR Congress Chief Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday suffered minor injuries after being stabbed at the Vizag Airport in Andhra Pradesh.
Reddy who was waiting for his flight to Hyderabad was stabbed by a sharp object by a waiter who entered the VIP lounge to serve tea and approached the Andhra Pradesh Politician for a selfie. Identified as ‘Sriniwas’ the attacker pretended to take a selfie and struck him with a knife. The security personnel at the airport immediately dragged Sriniwas away from Reddy and later was taken into custody.
Responding to the attack, Reddy said that such cowardice acts will not dissuade me but only strengthen my resolve to work for the people of my state! He wrote, “To everyone worried about my safety – I’d like to inform you that I am safe. God’s grace and the love, concern & blessings of the people of Andhra Pradesh will protect me. Such cowardice acts will not dissuade me but only strengthen my resolve to work for the people of my state!”
