AAP To Launch “Free Electricity” Agitation Today

AAP

The agitation led by Kejriwal (AAP) that has promised free electricity in Gujarat just as in Delhi will commence today.

Ahmedabad: Party sources commented that it will begin its state campaign demanding free electricity supply in Gujarat today. The party that promised the same in their election campaign looks to put the promises into action by beginning the protests.

The AAP’s Gujarat unit president Gopal Italia further added, “On June 15, the Gujarat AAP will hold press conferences at the district level. Afterwards, party workers will go to collector offices and make representations demanding free electricity for the public,”.

Between the dates of June 16-24 the party aims at demonstrating at various places across the Gujarat state through rallies, padayatra (protest marches) and mashal yatras (torch processions).

AAP with the intention to flip the script in BJP ruled Gujarat has reportedly pulled all stops by restructuring the organizational activities and units. Changes further include the appointment of Isuadan Gadhvi as the national joint general secretary of Gujarat and Indranil Rajguru as the national joint secretary of the region.

This rally will be the first among other major campaigns in the state to demolish the power-hold of BJP and its allies.

The gangster to remain in Punjab Police custody after being produced in court today for the murder of Moose Wala.

Chandigarh: Prime suspect and alleged conspirator of the Sidhu Moosewala murder: Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who was produced in the Mansa court early today will remain in police custody for further grilling.

The gangster’s custody and transit remand has been transferred to the Punjab Police unit. Bishnoi will remain there for 7 days, local courts said today.

Anmol Rattan Sidhu, Punjab Advocate General commented that the court will ensure “full responsibility” of the suspect at all times.

“There will be about 50 police personnel of Punjab Police, two bulletproof vehicles; 12 vehicles will run on the way which will clear the route. All routes will be videographed,” he told the duty magistrate at Patiala House Court in Delhi.

Bishnoi was produced in Delhi’s Patiala House Court following his custody with Delhi Police in another Arms Act Case.

The suspect’s legal representation has opposed the Punjab Police application stating that serious threat to his life stands in Punjab if transit remand is to be granted. The spokesperson of the representation Vishal Chopra said that, “We are just opposing his physical transit remand to Punjab Police. They can arrest him in the case, if needed, but in Delhi only,”

The route to the gangster’s involvement in the case according to Punjab Police was discovered upon an accused’s alleged confession. The intention, according to the Punjab police was to “to avenge the killing of Vikramjeet Singh alias Vicky Middukhera, in which there was an alleged involvement of Shagundeep Singh, manager of Shubhdeep Singh (Sidhu Moose Wala), who is now absconding”.

“Delhi Police, too, questioned Bishnoi, and have clearly stated that he is the key conspirator, ” Punjab Police added.
