As of Friday evening, nearly 3.9 lakh people were affected across 19 districts in Assam, including Kamrup, Hailakandi, Dhubri, Barpeta, Nalbari, and Cachar. Though the number slightly decreased from Thursday’s 4.09 lakh, the flood situation remained challenging. The death toll from floods, landslides, and storms reached 37, with one person missing.
