The Calcutta High Court permitted West Bengal’s Opposition Leader, Suvendu Adhikari, to visit Sandeshkhali. The visit took place amid protests over alleged sexual abuse. Adhikari was cautioned against making provocative speeches and engaging in unlawful activities. Following Adhikari’s plea, the court lifted Section 144 CrPC orders and allowed the visit with security personnel.
