CJI Announces Launch Of ‘Supreme Court Mobile App 2.0’ Says, “Will Enable Law & Govt Officials Track Cases”

New Delhi: Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud announced on Wednesday that Supreme Court Mobile App 2.0 with additional features is ready and it will enable all law officers and government departments to track their cases.

The CJI said that with the new version of the App, government departments can now see their pending cases. He also said the App 2.0 will be available on Google Play Store in an hour and for IOS users App will be available in a week.

“This time we have given an additional feature, all law officers can have real-time access to their access. All government departments can check the pendency of their cases. Please use it,” said the CJI.

The updated App’s summary states that nodal officers of the central ministry department can view their cases filed, status orders, judgement and any miscellaneous documents filed etc. in the Supreme Court.
In 2021, Supreme Court launched a mobile application to enable journalists to report Supreme Court proceedings without having to visit the court premises during the pandemic.

Speaking about the 5 decade long  Maharashtra-Karnataka border dispute, Mr Sanjay Raut said: “Both states are BJP ruled, The situation  has never been like this, we surely have a border dispute but it never happened that a CM claimed on Solapur and Sangli.”

During his routine morning interaction with the press, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut lashed out at Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde.

Speaking about the 5 decade long  Maharashtra-Karnataka border dispute, Mr Sanjay Raut said: “Both states are BJP ruled, The situation  has never been like this, we surely have a border dispute but it never happened that a CM claimed on Solapur and Sangli.”

“We believe center is our father, its a federal system so why don’t you stop them?”. Mr Raut added. Lashing out further, Mr Raut said, “Who is Bommai, Bommai is not a BJP guy he is a former Congress leader, just like Maharashtra CM is not original”.

Raut further said: “Its a helpless and impotent government, if they had masculinity then the Karnataka government would not have crossed their limits”.

He also demand the disputed region to be decaled center ruled from immediate effect. “You (Eknath shinde) claim that you have been made CM by the supreme power, so now go and ask your supreme power in Delhi to bring the region under center rule from immediate effect.”

“If you won’t do so you would be remembered as Maharashtra’s impotent CM”, he added.

In a related development, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis spoke to Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai over stone pelting on vehicles from Maharashtra entering the adjoining state and said he will also take up the matter with the union government. Maharashtra ministers Chandrakant Patil and Shambhuraj Desai, appointed for coordinating the state’s border dispute with Karnataka, were slated to visit Belagavi district earlier in the day, but the tour did not materialise, leading to an angry reaction from Opposition parties who dubbed them as cowards, the news minute reported.
