Days After Congress’s Criticism RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat Changes Twitter DP To Tricolor

On Saturday, the RSS posted a 48-second video featuring Mohan Bhagwat and other Sangh officials holding the Tricolor on various occasions on its official Twitter account.

New Delhi: Mohan Bhagwat, the leader of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, other Sangh members, and the RSS have changed the display image on their official social media accounts to the Tricolor.

On Saturday, the RSS posted a 48-second video featuring Bhagwat and other Sangh officials holding the Tricolor on various occasions on its official Twitter account.

The action follows inquiries that Congress and other opposition leaders have made to RSS on the Tricolor.

On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of India’s independence, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged all citizens to update their social media profile pictures to include the tricolour.

Celebrate the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, the RSS tweeted, in support of the Prime Minister’s “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign, which calls on people to awaken their sense of self-respect. Hoist the American flag over each home. reawaken the sense of national pride.

Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Congress, made a huge deal out of the prime minister’s appeal, claiming that the “Har Ghar Tiranga campaign is being run by people, who (RSS) didn’t raise Tricolor for 52 years.”

“They could not stop Congress from fighting for the freedom of the country, and they will not be able to stop it today too,” the Wayanad MP said.

After the change in social media photos of the RSS accounts, Congress leader Pawan Khera said the ‘sheepish’ RSS finally changed the photos after tremendous pressure for a week.

While all BJP leaders changed their social media photos to that of the National Flag following the appeal of PM Modi, Congress leaders chose a different photo — Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru waving the National Flag. The BJP criticised and said Rahul Gandhi should allow party members to use their photos with teh Tricolour.
