Hours before the inauguration of Madhya Pradesh’s newly appointed Chief Minister, Mohan Yadav, former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan expressed confidence that Yadav would elevate the state to unprecedented heights. For Chouhan, who served four terms, bidding farewell became an emotional moment as he uttered, “Ab vida, jas ki tas rakh deni chadariya” (now goodbye and leave it as it is) while addressing reporters in Bhopal.

The swearing-in ceremony, took place at Motilal Nehru Stadium, Lal Parade ground in Bhopal on Wednesday, will witness the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President JP Nadda, and other dignitaries. Chouhan assured that he is confident in the new Chief Minister’s ability to drive prosperity, development, and public welfare to new heights.

As acting Chief Minister on Tuesday, Chouhan diligently oversaw preparations for the dignified ceremony, emphasizing his duty to ensure proper arrangements for the oath-taking of the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Ministers. Welcoming the arrival of Prime Minister Modi, Home Minister Shah, and BJP National President Nadda, Chouhan extended congratulations to the new Chief Minister and expressed optimism about the state’s future under Yadav’s leadership.
