Former Arunachal Pradesh CM Resigns As State Congress Chief

Nabam Tuki, former Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister, resigned as the state Congress chief ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha and assembly elections. On Friday, he submitted his resignation to the All India Congress Committee in response to three party MLAs defecting to the BJP. APCC general secretary Gyamar Tana stated that Tuki resigned on moral grounds, feeling unable to prevent the MLAs from joining other parties.
