Government Suggests 5-Year Plan For Crop Price, Awaits Farmers' Response

During the fourth round of talks with protesting farmer groups, the central government proposed a five-year plan for purchasing pulses, maize, and cotton crops at minimum support prices (MSP). The panel led by ministers Arjun Munda, Piyush Goyal, and Nityanand Rai presented the proposal, describing the talks as “positive.” Farmer leaders will discuss and seek expert opinions before making a decision, temporarily halting the ‘Delhi Chalo’ march.
