During his routine morning interaction with the press, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut lashed out at Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde.

Speaking about the 5 decade long  Maharashtra-Karnataka border dispute, Mr Sanjay Raut said: “Both states are BJP ruled, The situation  has never been like this, we surely have a border dispute but it never happened that a CM claimed on Solapur and Sangli.”

“We believe center is our father, its a federal system so why don’t you stop them?”. Mr Raut added. Lashing out further, Mr Raut said, “Who is Bommai, Bommai is not a BJP guy he is a former Congress leader, just like Maharashtra CM is not original”.

Raut further said: “Its a helpless and impotent government, if they had masculinity then the Karnataka government would not have crossed their limits”.

He also demand the disputed region to be decaled center ruled from immediate effect. “You (Eknath shinde) claim that you have been made CM by the supreme power, so now go and ask your supreme power in Delhi to bring the region under center rule from immediate effect.”

“If you won’t do so you would be remembered as Maharashtra’s impotent CM”, he added.

In a related development, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis spoke to Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai over stone pelting on vehicles from Maharashtra entering the adjoining state and said he will also take up the matter with the union government. Maharashtra ministers Chandrakant Patil and Shambhuraj Desai, appointed for coordinating the state’s border dispute with Karnataka, were slated to visit Belagavi district earlier in the day, but the tour did not materialise, leading to an angry reaction from Opposition parties who dubbed them as cowards, the news minute reported.
