Indian Climber Rescued From Everest Dies, 8th This Season

A 46-year-old Indian climber, previously rescued from Mount Everest, passed away in a Kathmandu hospital, bringing this climbing season’s death toll on the highest peak to eight. Identified as Banshi Lal, he was airlifted and hospitalized last week. Rakesh Gurung of the tourism department confirmed his demise to AFP.
