“India’s PM Is A Coward”: Priyanka Gandhi

Congress general secretary and sister of Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said a martyred prime minister’s son who walked thousands of kilometres for national unity can never insult the country as the Congress held a nationwide protest against the disqualification of Rahul Gandhi from the Lok Sabha.
Hitting out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, she said, “File a case against me, put me in jail, but the truth is India’s PM is a coward”.

Congress leaders, Chief Mallikarjun Kharge and general secretary Priyanka Gandhi are observing a day-long satyagraha against the disqualification of Rahul Gandhi though they have been denied permission by the Delhi Police.

Taking immediate cognisance of BJP MLA Amit Satam’s corruption allegations against BMC, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde ordered a probe by the requisite agency. Satam had described in his speech how money was siphoned off by Kolkata-based companies and named two persons related to the case.
In a discussion held in the Legislative Assembly, BJP leader Amit Satam had drawn attention to the corruption case in the BMC. “In this case, money was siphoned off, laundered through some companies registered in Kolkata. Two people namely Nandkishor Chaturvedi and Shridhar Patankar are common names in all the companies,” Satam said.
Demanding an inquiry into the matter, the BJP leader said “I have already placed all the facts before the house and also submitted the documents. A probe should be conducted through anti corruption bureau and culprits should be punished. This is a loot of public money and somebody has to be made accountable for the corruption.”
In his reply, the Chief Minister agreed to conduct the inquiry of the matter. “Amit Satam has raised an issue related to corruption in the BMC. We will inquire the matter without any bias and book the culprits,” he said.
BJP has remained aggressive against corruption cases in the the Shiv Sean ruled BMC. Satam has been raising several corruption cases took place in the BMC while the Sena was leading the civic body. He has written to the BMC Commissioner and the state government on several occasions to take action and prevent misuse of public fund.
